The interest in this project was because of its next generation cogen units and this type of project?s importance in providing critical infrastructure.

New Projects:
- Building Energy Solutions, llc has been awarded a third project from Suffolk Construction, Boston, MA. BES will be performing the MEP commissioning of a new four story research building at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center?s Electromagnetic Sensory Facility in Newport, Rhode Island.
- The Air Force Research Laboratory has hired Building Energy Solutions for the commissioning of the HVAC systems at the Cyber Operations Technology Facility in Rome, New York. This is the second commissioning project for BES at the Rome Research Lab.
- Building Energy Solutions has three new projects at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. They will be doing the MEP design for researcher housing and offices on Governor?s Island; MEP design for new maintenance building and offices at Heiberg Station in Tully, New York; and MEP commissioning for the Aquatics Lab and boathouse on Governor?s Island and associated renovations to CIRTS Aquatic Lab on the main campus in Syracuse, New York.

Ms. Butler's expertise in engineering and Building Energy Solutions' full service CAD department allows projects to be delivered accurately and on time.

Ms. Butler has studied and worked internationally with traditional and alternative energy programs, researching and designing not only whole building systems but also guidelines for energy conservation in schools, office complexes, retail facilities, laboratories and residential buildings. She serves as the lead on all projects and brings in other professionals with specific knowledge when necessary.
Ms. Butler is actively involved in the community; she served in a leadership role for the Central New York Chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Inc. (ASHRAE) assisting other trade professionals with the latest industry information and standards, as well as working toward advancing the art and science of this engineering field. She also is a long-term member of the Association of Energy Engineers and has mentored students interested in a career in the field of engineering.
Ms. Butler earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts and went on to an Architectural Graduate School in London, England where she was in an honors program in Energy and Environmental Studies. She continuously increases her knowledge base with various continuing education courses and training.
